Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

1. Introduction
BizBootstrap UK Limited trading as BizBootstrap (“BizBootstrap”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) issues this Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) to protect the integrity of our network, ensure lawful use of our services, and promote a secure environment for all users.
This AUP forms part of, and must be read in conjunction with, our General Terms of Service. By registering for, accessing, or using any BizBootstrap service, you (“Customer”, “Client”, or “you”) agree to comply with this policy.
BizBootstrap may revise this AUP at any time without notice. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the latest version. Breach of this policy may result in suspension or termination of service without refund.
2. Registration and Account Management
Some services require registration. You must provide accurate and complete information, including your name, company name, contact details, and website URL (“Registration Data”).
- Keep your Registration Data accurate and up to date.
- Maintain confidentiality of passwords and access credentials.
- Log out after each session.
- Do not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.
- Notify BizBootstrap immediately of any unauthorised access or security breach.
Accounts may not be transferred without our prior written consent. See Section 11 for transfer rules.
3. Compliance with UK Law
You must ensure that all activities conducted via BizBootstrap’s network or services comply with UK law, including:
- Computer Misuse Act 1990
- Protection of Children Act 1978
- Criminal Justice Act 1988
- Prevention of Harassment Act 1997
- Data Protection Act 2018 (UK GDPR)
- Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002
Strictly prohibited activities include:
- Hosting, transmitting, or distributing indecent, offensive, or illegal material.
- Unauthorised access attempts or network intrusion.
- Forging headers, sending malicious code, or launching DDoS attacks.
- Operating open relays or proxy servers.
- Running port scans or penetration tests without consent.
- Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam).
- Hosting or linking to unlawful pornography, hate content, or pirated material.
- Infringing copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
BizBootstrap cooperates fully with law enforcement and regulatory bodies where unlawful conduct is suspected.
4. Acceptable Email Usage
Customers may not use BizBootstrap services to send unsolicited commercial email (“spam”).
- All newsletters or marketing emails must include a clear opt-out.
- Do not send messages that are offensive, obscene, or unlawful.
- Do not falsify headers or use unauthorised email addresses.
- Do not use our network for “mail bombing” or open relay configurations.
You are solely responsible for your email reputation. BizBootstrap may limit outbound messages to protect network stability.
5. Security and Privacy
- You are responsible for securing your devices, passwords, and software.
- Keep all systems virus-free and updated with security patches.
- Do not operate open proxies or insecure services.
If malicious activity is detected, BizBootstrap may block traffic or suspend the account until resolved.
6. Compliance with Foreign Law
You are responsible for ensuring your content and activity do not breach foreign laws in jurisdictions where your materials may be accessible.
7. Web Usage
- You are solely responsible for all content hosted or displayed on your site.
- Ensure you have rights to all materials published.
- Do not promote or host illegal activities.
- Use of “unlimited” resources applies only to standard website operations.
BizBootstrap may suspend or remove content violating this AUP or law. Legal adult content may be hosted only with prior written notice.
8. Telephone Numbers and Call Services
- Verify your number configuration and report faults promptly.
- Maintain equipment security and pay charges within 5 days.
- Prevent fraudulent or unlawful call use.
- You are liable for all call charges, authorised or not.
BizBootstrap accepts no liability for losses arising from unauthorised usage or external network issues.
9. BizBootstrap’s Obligations
BizBootstrap provides services using reasonable care and skill but is not liable for interruptions, delays, or failures beyond its control.
We operate a Code of Practice for complaints and dispute resolution approved by CISAS or a relevant authority.
10. Geographical Business Address and Mail Handling
Use of Address: Purchase of our address services entitles the Client to use the address only for the agreed service type (Registered Office, Director’s Service, or Business Address). You must not claim a physical presence at any BizBootstrap location.
Prohibited Business Categories: Adult, Alcohol, Gambling, Financial Services (including Cryptocurrency, Insurance, Investments, Loans), Firearms, and Pharmaceuticals.
Identification Requirements: You must provide valid proof of ID and address before mail forwarding can commence. Failure to provide such documents may delay or suspend service.
Mail Forwarding: Mail will be forwarded to your registered address. Incorrectly formatted mail or unidentified items may be returned or opened solely to determine the intended recipient.
Parcels: Parcel forwarding is available only at the Silvertown, London address. Unannounced or oversized parcels may be returned or disposed of.
11. Transfer of Accounts and Sites
- You may transfer only accounts or sites you legally own.
- Transfers require BizBootstrap’s prior written approval.
- BizBootstrap will not act as intermediary in disputes between parties.
- You indemnify BizBootstrap against claims arising from transfers.
12. Service Terms
- Services are provided for a fixed term and expire at the end of that term.
- Bundled services share the same expiry date.
- BizBootstrap may issue goodwill credits at its discretion.
- “Scans for Life” remains valid only if associated services are active and in good standing.
13. Enforcement and Termination
BizBootstrap reserves the right to investigate any suspected violation of this AUP and may, at its sole discretion:
- Suspend or terminate accounts immediately.
- Remove or block access to offending content.
- Report unlawful activity to relevant authorities.
Termination under this section is without liability to BizBootstrap and without refund.
